Can I just get front shocks? Lowering

Hey guys-I plan on lowering my truck pretty soon-but I was just wondering what I need to do about shocks. I am only going to lower it 2 inches front ang back (coils and shackles) so I was wondering if I could get by with just putting shorter shocks in the front and leaving the stock length ones in the back-or do I need to get shorter ones for front and back?

Ive seen poeple with just shackles use stock lenght shocks-but I was just wondering if they needed to be shorter since the front is going down to or not. Thanks

i seen a truck slammed to the ground i think they cut the coil in half and they were still running stock shocks. and this think would sweak and cliunk like you wouldnt beleive. i would have to recommend using the lowering shocks in the front because you will see when you drop the contol arm the stock spring will take alittle force to remove when you put in the lowering spring it slides in so easy. if you hit a bump with stock shocks it wont limit the travel and could cause the spring to move from its perch.

i dropped mine 3 front 4 rear. originally i had drop shocks in front and stockers in back. the stockers were so long that my trans output shaft seal and pinnion seal would keep failing because there was so much force on the driveshaft. with only a 2 inch drop in the rear you might be ok with stockers back there. but my truck rides alot smother now that i have drop shocks all the way around.

I've read you can still use stock shocks up to 2" drop front and rear it just rides a little firmer...........any more drop than 2" you should buy shorter shocks.
