Question Newbie Q&A - Body Lift

Im looking to add a body lift to my 2001 Screw 4x2 XLT. I know nothing about lifts so I've been reading around the forum. I've read about the procomp 6" lift. Not sure if that would be too much. Obviously there are many brands out there, but dont know pros/cons. I previously owned a 99 Scab 4x4. I liked the height. I wouldnt mind a little bigger (thats what she said). I just dont want to run into problems with parking garages and so forth. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Check out my gallery this is a 4x2 with the ProComp 6" Lift and 285/75/16's but it is a bit more than a body lift I was quoted $870 for a body lift installed but the kit is only about $150 if you want to do it yourself...Count on spending some time I have heard anywhere from 8-15 hours from the do-it yourselfers. The 6" Suspension lift ran me about $2100 installed with shocks and boots front and back as well as alignment. Good Luck!

Get the Performance Accessories kit. It includes everything you need. Also, get a set of their Gap Guards to cover up the gap in the fenderwells that the body lift creates.

Thanks guys. I have a buddy of mine that has done all the work on his F250. He's got about $25K worth of mods so far. Truck looks awesome. He's the one who will help me install it. Atleast he doesnt know that yet. Im bringing a secret weapon to the negotations (12 pack). I'll post some pics when its done.
