FX4 Ladder Bars

Does anyone out here in F150 land know what the axle tube diameters are for the old 77-79 Ford 9" vs the 2002 9.75? I made a set of ladder bars for my old 77 F150 years ago and want to put them on the 02. They are similar to the old stlye L&L bars, but designed to keep the 460 from twisting the lifted rear out of the truck. They are very strong and I think that's what it's going to take to keep my FTVB from destroying the springs in my 02.

Thanks in advance--just wondering how much cutting and welding I'm going to have to do this weekend.

Just an update --- I got the bars mounted on the 02. The axle tubes on both rears are about 3.25". I had to do a little modification to the bars to get them to clear the lift block on the FX4 (it is a shorter lift block than I had on the 77 and there was interference with the stop tab) but all is well. My axle wrap issues are now a thing of the past. I STRONGLY suggest that anyone putting a shift kit or FTVB in a 4x4 should consider some type of traction aid. The leaf springs must be real prone to axle wrap.
