Shock bolts - how tight?

I just installed Rancho RSX shocks, but now I have a clunking noise from the rear of the truck. I believe it is being caused by a loose nut at the top of the shock mount.

I thought you were only suppose to tighten the nut a certain amount. Just to protect the bushing. Is this right?

How tight should they be?

As you tighten the upper nut, watch the two bushings. You will feel them snug up against the washers and the mount. Continue tightening them until the bushings bulge slightly, but not outside the edges of the washers. Putting blue loctite on the threads first is a good idea.
