question for all hellwig rear sway bar owners
question for all hellwig rear sway bar owners
How did you mount or relocate this line, seems like no matter how I put it, it will rub and or sit against the sway bar. Is it a problem if it does?

There is a spacer that comes with the kit. There is only one and it comes in the bag and it raises that line so it will have proper clearence. I just did it last month and it will greatly improving your handling.

What exactly did you wire tie it too, I was thinking of doing that, but i was afraid of it rubbing against something it shouldnt. How exactly do you use the spacer for that wire? Since the instructions were completly useless, i put together the kit by looking at some pictures in this forum, but the pictures didnt show the spacer or how he mounted the line in any of the shots. Any pictures would be appreciated. Thanks
I think my webhost is down at the moment so my pictures arent showing.

Had to run out and check how I did it. I actually tied it to the sway bar itself. The part of the bracket where the screw hole is rests on top of the bar. Hopefully that makes some sense. HTH.
Stupid question though.,isnt that a brake hose, wont it damage the hose if it rubs to much. If its not the brake hose what is it.
I was originally going to tie it exactly how you did, just wanted to do some checking into it before I did.

Geez I don't think I've ever seen so much rust in my whole life. You must off-road a lot Waymond. Looks like a rubberized coating for the axle may be in order.
I believe that line is one of the ebrake lines with its protective outer rubber shell surrounding the actual cable inside.

Bought it used., Thought about getting an undercoating but wouldnt it trap the rust in. or do they sand and or scrape that crap off first. I still have four years left on the premium warranty so Im hoping if anything goes it will go before then.
But these salt filled Jersey winters dont help.
