Wheel Noise?

I have an interment very loud "squeak" which is coming from the left side (driver) of my 2000 F-150 4x4. It sounds like the front wheel area, but am not positive.

The squeak is in perfect sync with the rotation of the wheel. It is very loud ---- a metal against metal sound. It is also very intermitent. It goes away as fast as it appears, and may not be heard from for a day, or a week. The squeak seems to only come when intitially driving the vehicle. Once I hit the brakes the 1st time or 2, it disappears. If the vehicle has been driven for some time, I never seem to hear it.

I was thinking that it may be the brake pads (although they are somewaht new), or the caliper rubbing against something?
