blockage?

blockage?

has anyone ever used blocks for your drops? my friend says that he can move the axle above the leaf springs and then use regular old blocks to drop the truck... have any of yall done this?

Never done it personally, but a lot of small trucks that are sprung under use blocks for a cheap lowering kit. Whether its economically efficient to have your spring perches cut and rewelded to the bottom side of the axle is up to you to decide. IMO it looks like *****. If you do have your perches cut and rewelded you probably wont need blocks unless you're looking to go really low. By just doing that you'll probably lower the rearend by 5 inches or so.

yeah, i think it would drop it the diameter of the axle... but he gave me some reason why it wouldn't... i dunno, we'll see what happens

Reasons why it wouldnt? what were his reasons? ..... It would drop it the diameter of the axle,plus the height of the spring perch times 2.
