instead of taking apart the spindle and all that, cant you just support the lower control arm and take the inner bolt out, so you can just take the spring out from the back? anyone done this?

 

you can do that,but i'm gonna warn you,if you don't have a good jack under it or don't know what you're doing,don't try it,cause it that spring shoots out of there with full force and hits you it can kill you.but if you're careful and have common sense then it'd be fine.just make sure you trust your jack
