I cut the front of the framerails off directly in front of where the front bumper mounts. The Performance Accessories instructions said to trim them at an angle, but I cut them off flush with the bumper mounting plates. If you don't trim the frame rails, you will have to trim your front bumper's lower plastic valance to clear the frame rails. A couple of weeks ago I mounted a set of 88-98 GM tow hooks inside the frame rails. They lined up perfectly with the stock tow hook mounting holes and I used the stock Ford mounting plate/nuts and bolts to mount them.

GM tow hooks
Hey Wandell,
I also just wanted to say thanks.
Today I installed GM tow hooks exactly as you did.
You were right perfect fit, looks great.
And here I have been driving around for the last 3 years with my frame rails hanging out!!
