to drop? or not to drop?

I have a 1998 F-150 and no nothing about suspension (not sure how to spell it either) well anyways is a 2x4 drop better than i 1x2 drop? o yeahhh i got 305/50/20 in the rear and 275/35/20 in the front and would not like rubbing off my rubber everytime the truck moves. What other suspension mods are there that would give it a more "car like" handleing> please respond if you have any info... thanks alot

If you ask me, dropping a pickup is the 11th sin.

if its 2wd its ok to drop it IMHO

the amount you drop it is a personal prefferance.
1/2 isnt any better than a 5/6 drop its all what looks good to you.
those tires should be about 2 1/2 inches less diameter than stock in the front, but they are about 2 inches wider in front and 3 inches wider in the rear and 3 inches taller in the rear so you kinda already dropped the front about 1 inch while raising the rear 1 1/2 inches.

you could start with the 2 inch rear drop shackle to see how you like the way it looks more than that then you get into some labor intensive stuff and realigning the pinion angle.

i have a 3/4 drop front is about 3/4's inch lower than rear and i am running tires that are only .05 inches taller than stock.
