Hotchkis Leaf Springs vs. Drop Shackles

I just picked up the Hotchkis #2411 Sport Leaf Springs (3" Drop) along with the #1915F Sport Coil Springs (2" Drop) for my 2002 SuperCrew and me and a friend were debating how this will affect my ride and carrying/towing capacity vs. just getting some drop shackles. It's my understanding that with drop shackles the ride might be rougher and I lose more carrying/towing capacity over going with the new leaf springs. Any idea's?

Jose,

You shouldn't lose load capacity with either setup. A drop shackle, when installed properly, will not ride any worse than stock.

Thanks Steve, that answers the question then and ends the argument.

BTW, thanks for the hookup with the Hotchkis parts and for the link to the website for the shocks and struts. I'll be sure to send you a picture after I get everything installed.
