Shock Upgrade

I am currently running the Edelbrock IAS Shocks on the front of my 2002 SCab. It is lowered with 2" a-arms and 2" custom coils that give the ride quality I want. Now I want to step up the ride firmness one notch.

Who has an opinion of what I should buy.

Are Bilsteins next? Any other suggestions?

From my research and experience, it appears that, the best firm yet smooth lowering shock in order:

1. Koni or the QA1s

2. Doestch Nitro Slammers or KYB MonoMax

I have tried (on my truck or my father's) new oem stock, used Bilstiens, new BellTech, new Toxic, and new Doestch.

For a firm yet smooth ride, I like the Doestch (with Springtech 3" lowering coil springs) then the Belltech. The Bilstiens were too "mushy" and I bottomed out more so, than with the Toxic shocks. I do not bottom out at all with the Doestch.

If I had the money ($400-$500) I would have got the adjustable QA1s and kept my cutt coil springs.
