2004 Front Leveling Kit
2004 Throttle Responce & Front Leveling Kit
Hey everyone,
I just bought a 2004 FX4 Supercab w/5.4
My feelings on the new truck are VERY mixed considering I traded in my 2002 F250 V10 (Best vehicle i've ever owned).
I was wondering if there is a cure for the throttle delay, i'm really having a hard time getting used to it. Also the stance of the truck is that of a Dodge. I have seen some leveling kits that raise the front 2". Has anyone installed one yet? If so what are your thoughts & how did the installation go?
Thanks,
Rob

What I have heard about the throttle response is that it will improve after 1,000-1,500 miles. I heard it has to do with the new throttle controls, but I can't say for sure. Go here and post your question: http://ftw.truckmoxie.com/forums/forum.ten?544

Installed the Daystar 2004 F150 2.5" Leveling Kit today..... The truck actually reminds me of my 02' Superduty. Still need to get the alignment Monday but I cant tell the difference, still goes straight as an arrow. (Jeepers Creepers told me to get the alignment because the lift will cause a toe in condition causing the tires to wear faster).
The kit really does go in with no problems. It took a total of 3 1/2 hours..... The first side taking 2 hrs & 45 min, second side was a piece of cake (REALLY!!!!) 45 min. I would do another one in a heartbeat.
The stance of the truck is great, it gave me a total lift of 2 1/4 inches. The front is still 1 1/4 inches lower at the wheel lip. I will post some pics tomorrow.
Just thought I would let everyone know the kit is worth the $$$!
