Post Body Lift Pros vs. Cons

I am thinking about a 3" body lift versus a 3" suspension (spindle) lift. Kinda curious as to what the pros and cons are of each. I don't really like the gap that is shown in the wheel weal on the body lift, but the prices sure is better. I also heard that when you get a body lift, your bumper stays with the frame as the body moves up, creating a VERY noticable gap between the bumper and the bed door. I like the idea of the wheel weal gap covers that can be placed. I know the suspension upgrage would look better, I'm just not into puttin out the $ for it. Anyone got any advice?

The pros of the body lift are: it's inexpensive and doesn't affect your ride quality. THe cons are: you are limited to 3 inches of lift. The Performance Accessories kit comes with everything you need to install the lift, including front and rear bumper relocation brackets. You need to purchase the gap guards seperately. Take a look at my gallary, just do a search for "Wandell".

same as wandell said. the body lift in very resonable and the pa kit comes with the bumper brackets. the lift lips which fill in the gap between the body and frame in the fender area are inexspensive also. i really like mine and it looks good. i dont do a lot of off roading so it fit my needs and wants. good luck with whatever you choose.

I appreciate the replies. Thanks. Wondering if any one knows of any links where I might get the real deal of what a body lift looks like? I have seen a few pics but as you probably know they don't show the real deal of what it looks like, side view, undercarriage, etc. Do you have any personnel pics I can see or know of any sites I can visit. Thanks.

I have some more pics in my gallary. Just do a search for "Wandell". I also have some at FTW, just narrow the search filter to 2001, lifted 4x4 F-150's from GA and look for "Wandell's Screw".
