coil spacers = cheap lift ?
coil spacers = cheap lift ?
word on the street is that you can get a 1.5" lift from coil spacers.. is this a safe method to acheive a minor lift, because its pretty damn logical.
also, can you safely install and drive with coil spacers and a spindle lift?

Coil spring spacers are fine, as long as you use a quality spacer like the Daystar's. Don't use those cheap things that wedge in between the coils of your springs. I can't beleive that auto parts stores still sell those things. I've had 2 inch Daystar spacers on my Grand Cherokee since 2000 and have never had any problems. There website is www.daystarweb.com. They are sold by a number of places including 4Wheel Parts and Off Road Unlimited. They are a good way to get a little lift on a 97-03 4x2 F-150 or Expy or the new F-150's and Expys.
i would do much research before using them.
i have heard they can become dislodged(using the twist ins) and suddenly drop the front of the truck. this could cause breakage or loss of control.
they are not very good at all for offroad.
i have also heard they can cause the springs to break due to extra stress being put on the spring where the spacers are attached.
the old saying if it looks too good(cheap) it probably is.
if you could reliably lift a truck for less then $100 no one would pay for a real lift kit.
