Need to drop my truck 1 inch!

I've got a 1998 F250LD 4x4, with stock everything. It's about 1 inch too high to fit into the parkade at work, so I'm looking for ways to lower it a bit.

I like the ride height, so I thought the best solution would be air bags, that way I can flip a switch and drop the truck for the parkade, and then bring it back up when I head home.

Has anyone heard of such a system? What would it involve? Any websites?

Cheaper version...

Just let a bunch of air out of the tires and drive through...get out your pump when you leave. More labor intensive...but cheap.

Leaves a bit more $$ for

Sorry I can't comment on a more practical method for lowering your truck. Hope you find something workable.

You could crank the torsion bars down slightly in the front and add a drop shackle in the rear or remove the block (if you have one).

I also needed to drop my '98 down 1inch because I had a leaf added to the rear springs to support the weight of a slide-in camper. The additional leaf was great for supporting the extra load, but also raised the rear-end up and the camper/truck wouldn't fit in my garage any more.

I dropped my tire size down from LT26575's to LT24575's and it now clears with 1/2inch.

I'm now considering changing the factory 2' lift blocks to 1" to level it out.
