Yeah it's a 2wd... Truck Toys said they could regear it w/ 4.56 for $600 installed. I haven't looked anywhere else yet.. but it is desperately needed. I just got back from San Diego and I got about 11 MPG Highway. It sucks man. Well im off to look at stereo stuff... thinking about the Kenwood DVD player.. who knows. Lates

Hey Beach Cruiser,

Nice truck! Could you send me some more of the pictures you have? I am deciding on the lift as well. {iceiscool@hotmail.com}

How much did you pay for the lift?

Beach Cruiser,

You may want to check into getting 16x10 rims instead of the 16x8.5, they will look a lot better. Also a 3" body lift along with the 6" suspension wouldn't be a bad idea either. Just thought I'd be of some assitance.

No.. I dont want my wheels to stick out that far.... plus it might rub a little w/ bigger rims. Truck is perfect height for me.

I paid $1400 for the lift from Truck Toys.

Yeah so I went over to my parents house today to show them my lifted truck for the first time... and I ran over the front bumper of my dad's Honda Accord. Didn't even touch the body of my truck.. just the wheels. Haha.. I found it amusing. It's ok it wont be that much to fix. Hey and he still liked the truck!

Was the $1400 after tax? Also, how much did they charge to install it?

Why exactly would you go with 10inch rims...Im actually just asking the question...I mean 35's fit on an 8.5 so what happens when you put them on a 10inch.

They had to shave about 1" off each side of the front valence and you cant even notice it. My MPG went down the tube once I lifted it. It was almost cut in half. Right now I get 10 MPG highway (used to get 18). I need 4.56 gears ASAP! I have been thinking of getting the clear corners but it isn't on the top of my list right now. I will most likely be getting them after I get new gears, tint, and a sound system. Glad you like my truck... got my Flowmaster 40 Series exhaust installed yesterday. 3" pipe 3 1/2" chrome tip ... comes out around the stock location. I want to see pictures of your truck once you get it lifted. There's nothing I like more than a girl that drives a big truck. It's so damn nice outside right now... too bad the waves suck. Oh well... I'm off to the beach!

first off, you may not actually be getting 11 mpg. Reemember, you have bigger tires!! This throws off the speedometer AND the odometer! The odometer could show that you've gone 200 miles, but you've actually gone 250 (thats not with any calculations... you'd have to do the actual math). ANd don't blame the gas mileage on the lift, blame it on the tires. The extra wind resistance, etc. you'd gain wouldn't amount to much of a loss, the main power loss comes from the fact your having to force your vehicle harder to go the same power due to the bigger tires. I agree, 4.56 gears would be necessary, BUT $600 for 4.56's front and rear sounds like an unreasonably good deal, and I am always very suspicious of "extra good deals" like that. Either they will be using cheap gears or they're hiring cheap labor and they won't do the best job possible.
