Post Review of new Rancho 5000s

I had 4 new Rancho 5000 shocks installed today on my rig( 97 4x4 with ORP ).Well the handling seems to be improved but I am not real wild about the firm ride around town. These babies are kinda stiff. Will this stiffiness go away after awhile or are they always going to be this stiff? My original equipment shocks had 54000 miles on them, maybe they were worn out.Isn't there supposed to be decals on these shocks identifying which ones they are? Nothin on mine.Any opinions greatly appreciated.

Dennis.

The decals were in the box. You have to put them on your self. Had to do the same with my 9000s. Some people like to put the decals on thier windows, or viewable when the shocks are installed. I think this is why they don't put them on for you...freedom of choice. Go back to the place that put the shocks on, to see if they still have the boxes. If not I think you can get the decals from Rancho directly.

Give them some miles. They will soften up.
