Post coil spacers

Do y'all know if I can put 2" coil spacers in the front and not have to do anything to the rear. I don't want to have to put blocks or anything in the back. If I can't do this I guess I will have to go with the 1" in the front. Also, has anyone put these on themsealves? Is it hard? Is all you need a spring compressor?
