Rancho shocks

I have a 98 F150 4x4 off-road package. I was wondering what are the best kind of rancho shocks for my truck. Any tips would be great. Thanks

Depends on how you're going to use the truck. I have liked my RSX's, used mostly on the street.

What GearHead said!

Your truck is going to handle better with any of the Ranco shocks, and you'll be glad you put them on. The RSX comes with one setting. The RS9000X can be adjusted on the fly and cost extra for that ability. If you need a softer or firmer setting than the RSX comes with then RS9000X is a good choice, but if adjusting a shock is not your idea of fun then the RSX is better.

I had the RS9000 on my last truck and like them more than my new FX4 OEM shocks. If oyu can, wait until spring when they will probably be on sale again, buy 3 get one free.

Then it's a no brainer, get the RS9000X and set them to the max setting of 9.

That's the same thing General Motors says.

So does the setting of 9 get a little rough when off road. I've driven around with them set to 9 on the road. It's a nice firm ride with impressive cornering. I have not taken this truck off road.
