Exclamation Ground Hawgs

I remember a while back someone posted a pic of a lifted F150 running 35in Hawgs. Whose truck is it? Where are the pics?

Cool

I been meaning to ask you, how does your truck look with 11 inches of lift, and 35's? Wouldn't that look a little silly. My best friend has 7 inches of lift with 35's, and they still look a tad bit small.

I'm kinda picturing Snowballs truck with 35's, and that didn't look pretty.

Snowball has 40" ground hawgs on his 97 with a 10" whiplash and a 3" body lift. He has pics of his truck in this forum. Its something like, 10" whiplash installed or something.

y2kboti,

I had 36 inch Ground Hawgs over two years ago when I first lifted my truck. I eventually sold the tires. As a matter of fact, I sold them to a guy who was going to lift a 99' Silverado. The pic below is an old pic back in November 99'.

Regarding snowball's truck, he has Gumbo Mudders.

Oops I meant to say 36in Hawgs. He was running 36x14.5 radial Ground Hawgs.

Mudder...so what are you saying
I'll be the 1st one to admit they look small but they work great offroading. No rub at all under full compression. Even 36s look small on my truck.

I think 37s look the best w/ my combo.

Personally I think Snowballs truck looks plain silly.

G Patricio how did you like the tires? How many miles did you get out of them? Why did you get rid of them?

Ooooo got me on that one. Please can't you come up w/ something better than that.

I admit I need to take pics but I'd rather drive it than take pics of it.

Don't worry I'll silence all the critics soon enough.

I didn't actually need to get rid of the tires, but I needed to replace the wheels. I was running 16.5 X 12" wide wheels and it was too much for a 2wd suspension. I should've gone with 9.75" wide wheels from the beginning. Anyhow, I only had them for about 3 months so I can't tell you about treadwear, but they sure looked good...

Yeah 12s are pretty wide. I have 16.5x9.75 Weld Typhoons. Were your Hawgs the radials? What did you think of the quality and how loud were they? Thanks

Yes they were radials, 36X14.50R16.5. They were a little noisy, and took more weight than usual to balance. But overall I was satisfied. Compared to SuperSwampers TSL's, (not the SSR's), the Hawgs are a little less noisier.

ground hawgs? haven't seen a good hawg in years..had a set of 40"ers on a 1-ton dodge around 20 years ago...great mud tire as long as you're going forward, kinda lacking in reverse...of course the tread is why...i would run these today if i needed a tire this aggressive...i was really disappointed that the 4wheel & off-road mud tire shootout didn't have hawgs in it...that would have been a good read...later, Rich.

Snowball,

I personally LOVE your truck! I have the picture of it printed out and I show it to about everyone I see that talks about lifts! They all think it is the baddest truck they have ever seen! Keep up the great work!

PS. Don't get anymore tickets. LOL
