Need to decide on what lift is best...
How much lift/tires should I get? I am looking for a meaner look on my truck, but I am not sure which way I should go. I really like how "<a href=http://www.4tssinc.com/truck/>christrucker</a>" has his FORD looking and I was also just considering doing a 3" Body Lift with 295/75/R16 BF Goodwrench All Terain Tires.
My truck is very popular around town and everyone is excited to see what it is going to look like with a lift and big tires. I just want to make sure I get everything so it looks MEAN and that I have enough power to run the tires. I currently just have 3.55 Gears with Limited Slip real axel, and I don't plan on upgrading them until my warranty is out (3 more years). I noticed that on <a href=http://www.4tssinc.com/truck/>christrucker's</a> truck he only has 3.55 gears, but he has a 5.4 liter engine to pull the load of the tires (That is the only thing I regret everyday for not getting).
I plan on spending around $2,500 at the most. Here is what I am serious considering:[*]3" PA Body Lift[*]16x8 Atlas American Racing Wheels
<img src=http://www.4wheelparts.com/images/atlas.gif>[*]295/75/R16 BF Goodwrench A/T Tires
<img src=http://www.4wheelparts.com/images/bfgradia.gif>
EVERYONE please let me know if this should do "the trick". I really want to keep my factory quality ride and not void my warranty, so that is why I really only plan going with the Body Lift. Below in my Signature is a good picture of my truck, so everyone can see what it needs.

I also run 35" tires with 3.55 gears with the 5.4 liter...Loss of some power, but its not as bad as I thought it would be...As for 33's with a 4.6, you'll be fine, some power loss, but your truck will still have some pop in it. As for smooth running tires, I have the BFG AT's and they run smooth as silk, cant complain about the ride one bit. Just my two cents.

I would say what you are planning on getting would diffently make your truck lokk even better than it is. The BFG's and the AR Atlas rims have been done on a lot of trucks but why mess with perfection. One question does BFG make a 305/70/16, I know they make a 315/75/16 (same as a 35) that's kinda expensive at 212 each but you get what ya pay for. I know ChristTucker is going to tell you to go with a Pro Comp 305/70 or a 315/75. These tires are a little cheaper ( 148 fora 305 or 159 for a 315 but, IMO they are just as good as the BFG's. Sorry to throw a wrench in your plans but I am just trying to save you some money.
Yeah ur right. BFGoodwrench only makes a 295/75/16 A/T. So that is what I am going with! I think they should look good. Anyone else have suggestions? I would like to see some pictures for 3" Body Lifts and 33" tires if i could. THANKS!

Hey! My friend and I just got done installing his 3" body lift on his truck. He has a 98 he has 305 75 16s (goodyear) and it looks great! Maybe get a differnt tire. I am very very happy with the pro comps. and they make a 305. I will be getting pictures of his truck and I will post them for you. I also asked him about power loss with the 33s and he said he hadn't noticed any. He also has the 4.6l. On my old truck, I had a 4.6 with a 3.55 and 35s and it was just a dog. the 5.4l sure makes a huge difference. But like I said, he didn't notice any difference from the 31 to the 33. Another thing, he has the same rims as the ones you want. I will get some pics for you. Have a lifting day!

Thanks Chris. Yeah I think I will be fine with the 33s. I have a friend with a CHEVY
and he runs 33s with a 4.8 liter and he doesn't have any power loss at all. So all in all I think I will be fine and have one of the best looking trucks around! Don't u think so?
