Doetsch Tech Shocks

I'm looking at replacing the stock shocks on my '97 F150 4x4 longbed with Doetsch Tech 8000's. I don't do any really serious rock climbing, I just need something that will provide a comfortable ride on the road and handle sand washes and old forest service roads. I was very satisfied with the Rancho 5000's I had on my 94 F150. Would I be better off sticking with Rancho's? Thanks.
