Post The ULTIMATE mileage mod!

...or should that be the ultimate sacrifice? With gas over $2/gallon and heading up fast and my truck getting 13.5 or so to a gallon, I had to do something! Yup... traded my baby in and bought the new Taurus you'll see below. I'm learning to like it... haven't owned a CAR since '88! So if any of you guys see me out cruising in my 4-dr sedan, try not to run me over... and make sure you dim your damn lights when you fill up my rearview mirror

Keep truckin', fellas... I'll still be around (and hoping for lower gas prices!)

Later!

Thanks for confirming my decision to keep my 90 Honda Civic. Back and forth to work we go at 36-38 MPG, while the truck is in the garage at home staying clean and burning no fuel.

You guys wouldn't have that problem if you didn't live in California! Heck you can't even buy an electric car with all those blackouts! Over here in NY gas is only $1.56 a gallon.

That really suck's JonC.
I really liked your ride.
Gas here in Wisconsin is $2.00 per gal.
I go through about 2 tank's per week in my screw.Although I get my gas for free because of my job it still suck's that we have to resort to such thing's as parting with our beloved ride's.Who know's if thing's go any higher I may someday be in the same boat as you & end up doing the same thing.
We'll good luck & at least you have a nice looking car,not some piece of crap.
You'll be truckin again in no time!

Did you keep the suspension? Most dealers will give you 2-3 days to put the stock parts back on and not take any money off the value of your trade-in. Then you could sell the lift parts to me and get some gas money for your new Taurus.
