My power steering unit is making a almost hissing noise when i turn the wheel either way, also the idle seems to lower to much while turning, I have an appointment to the dealer here in kenmore, they informed me they got there blue oval cert and they all seemed very happy to please....

hi my truck does the same thing and i was thinking of putting a high output power steering pump on but if you find out what is wrong with yours please let me know.

they should please ya they rated blue oval cert for one reason customer satifaction
as far for the power steering pump they should replace it its common for these pump to squel loud good luck

 

I quieted mine down quite a bit with Mobil 1 ATF. A turkey baster and peice of hose and a half a quart of Mobil 1 twice (to get it flushed) and bingo, nice an quiet even when cold.
