Exclamation Question for all the shadetree mechanics.....

Not a ford, but a dodge, but anyway, tell me if you think you know what may be causing this. While driving, it almost feels as if something is clunking around or loose at the other end of the steering wheel. The wheel is on tight, and doesnt shake or shudder, but something feels clunky at the other end of the shaft. Could it be a loose steering shaft or maybe a messed up suspension part that is causing my steerign to feel loose? any opinions?

try checkin' your rag joint. old dodges were bad for that. not shore on your vintage. it looks like a rubber grommet approx. 2"x2" or 3"x3" somewhere between your steering box and the firewall (end of your steering column)
good luck
