Question Alignment question...

Hello there.

I have a '00 F-150 2wd. It is in need of alignment because of a pull to the right. The shop said that they must install some "cams" in the fron to get the alignment correct. Does anyone know what they are talking about?

They got it close, but it's still not right. They thought it might be a tire pull, so they swapped front tires and the problem was still there.

How much and where do I find these "cams"? Is the install hard? I don't see how it could be a hard install, due to the fact that they were only going to charge me 1 hr. to install them.

Thanks!

-->Greg

Where I live the kit is about $40 and is easy to install . the cams will replace the preset alignment shims. Most alignment shop carry these or can get them .

If you have less than 12000 miles or 12 months ownership, Ford will align your pickup and install the cams no charge.

Well, the truck has 20k on it. So, therefore I figure that Ford won't align it for free.

I have an extra set of alignment cams that I'll sell you for $30 if you want them.
