Question for you who have ProComp shocks
Alright, I know there are some of you who have Procomp shocks out there! I just bought a set, have yet to put them on. The back one's are fine, because I have an extra leaf and will be putting in a 3" lift block versus the old 2", I got the ones for a 4" lift. Nice and big, they are 2.36" diameter.
Now for the front ones... they are tiny looking!! Only 1.75 inches in diameter! I took out one of the front stock OEM gas shocks of mine, and compared. The ford OEM was at least 2" in diameter, and it was much stiffer, even after being in the truck for so long. I suppose with the velocity sensing on the Procomp, can you make a comparison between it and a regular gas charged shock? They were almost exactly the same length, extended and compressed. Does any of you have an opinion on these shocks? I have always thought the bigger, the better, but perhaps I should just trust Procomp and why they made them so small diameter... Any info, insight regarding the Procomps would be appreciated!!
