Cool

Here's a few answers. The rear driveline stays as is. The angles do not increase incredibly and therefore can stay. However, the front driveline angle increase dramatically due to the shorter length. A new one is required which can be ordered from Whiplash (basically, it has a double joint). However, they sent me the wrong one and I'm still waiting on it. Also, the ride is nothing like stock. There are shakes and bumps but not from the suspension, from the hard to balance bias ply tires. It is not more that I can handle though. What I forgot to tell everyone is, there is tons of clearance. I have not been able to make the tires rub once. 44"s would have been a breeze.

Man, thats big, but oh so sweet. I'm glad you didnt go with 44s...thats 4" you dont need on there! Just curious, cause it wasnt in your profile...what ring & pinion do you have in that thing!? I'd love to add a 10"er to my truck, but i dont think i could afford new tires, installation, and gears to go along with it. But it looks good. Da*n good.

All I can say is:

Wow.

You must let us know how it does off-road, or what it feels like to drive over those new Volkswagen Beetles I hate so darn much.

It looks big enough, but how about a pic to show some perspective. Like you standing next to the door, or with the truck next to a stock 4x4. Just so we can see the difference

Nice Ride though, I would really like to see one drive up next to me. I'd see undercarrige, and I'm on 35's

That is a great truck. But there is something you should know about those rims. You that all ford trucks come with at least 16s to clear the breaks. Well what prime did to clear the breaks was push everything way, off-centered. So all the weight is now on the wheel studs, which means you are going to break them. I lost my wheels about 3 times all the way off and replaced the studs a number of times. So just be careful, they usually with-stand about months.

Although 15" wheels are not designed to go with the newer F150s the trucks are usually up to the job. Three friends of mine have F150 4x4s...one a single cab with 9" of lift and 39s, another ext. cab with a 3" body and 35s and another with 4" suspension and 36s ALL WITH 15" wheels. None of them has any problems...in fact, one of the owners owns a tire and wheel shop. Although these wheels do have a high negative offset, it is only slightly more than the 16"x10" atlas and baja wheels. And although it is true that more pressure is put on the lugnuts, it is not significantly more to break them unless they are torqued to the wrong specs. Hope this helps...

Hey guys,
I haven't posted in a while so here is a few more answers and some more pictures. My gears are still stock. Overall, she runs great but could use a little help on the mountains. I'd put in new gears today If I wasn't now broke. Whiplash has no 2wd kits, yet. They make them for chevy so I won't doubt if they may come later. Also, the total cost of front kit, rear kit, 4 Rancho 5000 shocks, front driveline, and shipping from Cali to Va was $2453.

Here's the new pictures. The mustang is my new daily driver, duh. I couldn't drive this thing everyday anymore, the police would be all over me. Legal bumper limits are 29" front and 30" back. I'm sitting at 37" in the front and the back. Whoops!!!

Man, i'm posting for like the 4th time to say that truck looks awesome. I'm so jealous. I'd do it too, but can't afford it. I did want to say that you should consider regearing if you're gonna be driving that truck much. I'm sure it shifts a lot up the hills and that builds a lot of heat up in the transmission. Friend of mine had a 2wd with 39s and had the stock 3.55 gearing...he burnt up his tranny in about 2 months...of course, it was his daily driver, but around here, its flat as it can be...but i'd consider changing the gears anywayz...but man it looks awesome...! anywayz, gotta jet...o yea, u sellin' that suspension lift?
