Height Measuring Contest!!!!! =)
Ok...double checked today...i measured the height of a bar at my local carwash...sign said 7' and i double checked it...it was. So thats 84". My truck barely fits under there by about 2"...maybe 2 1/4"...so i'm assuming that makes my truck about 81 3/4" - 82" at the roof's highest point...
Don't forget though i have adjusted my torsion bars too...and this does make a difference...i suspect it gave me at least an inch, maybe a little more...

Can't assume, a measurement is not correct until you really measure it, with a tape measure or whatever.

What i mean is, i'm assuming that the torsion bars gave me the xtra lift to 82"...i know the truck is between 81 3/4" and 82" though...how tall did u say yours was? what about all the rest of yall...?

you know mudder, the more i read your mods, the more i think your measurements might be right...i remeasured mine and its right at about 81.5" to 82"...a little hard to tell exactly (like .5" is even noticeable-lol) but here's what i'm guessing at:
If mine is 81.5 now minus 3" body minus 4" for tires (stock tires are about 30" i think) minus 1" torsion bar = 73.5 for a stock 97-98 4x4 (?). Ok...we are just assuming...now add your 4" suspension and 2" for tires (i'm going under an inch for how tires size changes under weight) = 79.5 for yours. There is a good 1.5" difference or so between tire height on 35s and 33s...my old 33s were 32.7 and mine on their now are 34.7, so sometimes it can be two inches which would make yours equal and if you jacked torsion bars an inch, yours would be taller...but i'm just guessing at some of these numbers.
So basically i have a 4" lift (3" body + 1" torsion bar) + tires 2" taller or so, which i guess would make mine about 2" taller overall...
anywayz...these are just assumptions...maybe we should meet up and compare...lol...i hope your taking this lightheartedly too, cause i don't want to start something dude, i'm all about the NO-DRAMA scene, ya know?

If you can get all the participants trucks together and measure them under the same circumstances(no variables) using the same measuring device you will get good results.
Otherwise you will have some truck owners saying their rigs are like 95" tall ( yea right) bone stock.

My truck is exactly 6'11" at the back of the cab roof. If my 35" tires were brand new i would be at 7' Right now i am thinking of doing a 3" and going up to 39" tires. Also want to add a rollbar with some KC daylighters up top. Whaddya think?

Ok, I measured up to the top of the roof above the third brake light and got 80 inches. BigBadRedLiftedFordMan, you can't be much taller than me, if any. We must be near the same, I can just tell lookin at pics.

Also, have a question for you, how bad do the 315's rub on the valence? I guess you trimmed it a little? Looks like they might rub on the inner fender? Thanks.

These pics are actually before i messed with the torsion bars. So the truck sits slightly higher in the front, and clearance was not as big of an issue...i did trim on the front valance and just a small little 1/4" piece in the back where the fender stuck out...the tires never rub now unless i hit something hard (like a curb)...anywayz...i have a feeling we are pretty close too...i figure if you slap some 35s under that big black day-maker of yours you'd be obviously taller...
