Post help!!

just got back from a road trip and almost got into a serious accident.

Ever since putting on 265/75/16's my truck's handling has sucked badly. I hit a set of bumps going over 30 and my truck "jumps" hard.
I almost jumped into the other lane going 50 after hitting a set of potholes..

Is there any kind of "stabilizer" or something that will make this truck "stick" to the road a little better?

Sway Bars?

any help would be appreciated

thanks

First off i would check the PSI in your tires....i run my 285/75/16 bfgs at like 35 psi. When i got them they were at 50 and the ride sucked...lowered it and voala. Also get a new set of shocks...edebrocks if you got money....i didnt so i got PC ES3000 and ive been very happy, quick rebound rates, and they are inexpensive. IF its jarring from left to right...invest in a steering stablizer...procomp, rough country, heckthorn, rancho all make them anywehre between 25-59 bucks. The sway bars only really help with body roll not the jarring. Umm thats about all i know, maybe someone else can give ya a bit more info.

Yeah, the air pressure could be off. I had 265's and never saw this problem, always had them at about 40psi because I towed a lot. Is it a 6 ply tire or an 8? I'm not familiar with the Dueler's, but they could just be a stiff sidewall tire. I'd search for a topic on those tires to see if anyone else has had the problem.

However, your truck looks good!!!

thank guys, I was told the steering stabilizer would help from a friend. I will also check the pressure in my tires too... they seem ok, just had em put on..

thanks dgreen! I need to take a new pic with the tires and nerf bars, I'm really happy with the way it looks now.. I've been bit by the "bigger tires, bigger truck" bug and I feel some kinda suspension/lift coming on soon
