It depends on what model year you have and if you have a digital or analog odometer.
Let us know and we can help you more.

'97 and I believe '98 models were analog and use a VSS gear. The gears are color coded based on the number of teeth.

I used this site to figure out which gear I needed when I went to 265/75/R16 tires:

http://www.finer.com/internet/pages/speedo.htm

I ordered the gear through my local Ford dealer and it only took 5 minutes for me to install.

If you're truck is digital ('99 or newer?) then this won't work.

I would have never known about this if I didn't read this message board. My Ford dealer told me I couldn't adjust my speedo/odo. I guess there were wrong.

I'm at work so I don't have the receipt in front of me, but it wasn't more than $10, around $7 I think. You can install it yourself.
