I have 98 F-150 XLT . Heres my problem. I want to lower the truck slightly, but I have a 28 ft. camper I pull maybe a 12 times a year. Will air shocks give me much play ?
All wheels and tires are stock.

I haven’t had problems with my shocks (Bilstein regular size). I manufacture trailers so I have to tow them almost every day. Don’t go with the air shocks, you should try a weight distributing hitch.
