Post Add-a-leafs

I'm looking for a set of 2" or higher add-a-leafs. I've found some at jcwhitney and carparts.com I'm wondering if anyone knows of any place else that would have them.

I'll sell you the ones that came with my lift. I used them about a month and then changed to lift blocks. I think they are 2.5" lift.

Let me know if your interested.

Squanto,

What made you decide to switch from the add-a-leafs to lift blocks? At some point I plan to do a 4" suspension lift and was leaning toward a kit with leafs instead of blocks. Just curious.

Oh, yeah. How do you like the Dirt Grips?

How much do you want for them and what kinda are they? Also did they give you 2 1/2" of lift or are they "supposed" to give you 2 1/2" of lift. I've seen some 2" ones that would only give you 1" of lift. You might have to hold onto them for a while. I have to wait until spring field work starts before I will have enough money to buy them.

I got add-a-leafs with my lift kit. they were supposed to lift the rear 4" but for some reason it only went up 1.5" so i had to add 2" blocks just to get the truck level. Just a warning that the leafs may not work as well as advertised.

98fword, I switched to blocks because I thought the addaleafs made the ride much rougher. I wanted more of a stock ride. I also like the rear a bit higher, like it is stock, and the add a leafs evened it out. At some point, I'm taking out the blocks and installing new rearched springs just because I'm not a fan of blocks for saftey reasons.I love the Dirt Grips, best big tire out there,IMO.

Powerstroke, They are from Trailmaster and I think they are 2.5". When they were on my truck, they sat the rear even with the front.

There is an article under the "Product Reviews" on the add-a-leafs. It has a detailed description of install, I think the guy got them from Summit for $50.

Yeah, it depends alot on the brand of add-a-leafs you get and how stiff your current leafs are. I don't think I've ever seen an add-a-leaf lift a truck exactly how much it says that it will. I'm actually counting on this. I only want about 1 to 2" of lift from this.
