Well I just did this yeterday on my 97 4x4. You will need, for the front, two 18mm wrenches, and a 13mm socket for the bottom nut. The new ranchos take a 9/16 wrench and socket for the top bolt. It is not a hard job but here is a warning for you. Check and make sure that the OEM shocks have no rounded nuts or bolts. Mine had been changed before (I am the second owner) the drivers side took about 45minutes. I spent 4 hours trying to get the passenger side out (rounded bottom bolt head ). I'm taking it to the shop up the road and getting it cut out. Probably will let them instal the rears while I'm there for the heck of it.

This is an easy job if the original hardware is in good shape. Good luck.

btf150:

Few questions for you, is your truck a 4X4 or 4X2? Are you replacing the stock shocks or does it have another brand on it? I an interested in what you think of the ride if you have a 4X2.

Thanks
