Question Anyone Install Bilsteins?

I'm back to looking at Bilsteins after striking out with Edelbrock. They don't make an IAS for a 2WD Expy with LLS.

Anyone have the Bilsteins? I hear the ride is a little stiffer with them. Although they hold up much better under hard driving like towing, off road and all the heavy duty stuff I don't do. Dang I wish Edelbrock had IAS for mine.

I've had the Bilsteins on my truck for about a year. They do ride a little stiffer around town, but on the interstates and freeways they ride firm but not harsh. No floating like with the stock shocks. I have used them off-road and tow a 6500 pound trailer with the truck and am very happy with them.

Added a Ford bug deflecter, floor mats, a Dynamax Race magnum muffler and 3" mandrel bent pipes, Superchip, K&N FIPK Gen II, Bilstein shocks, Redline Synthetic oil, Kenwood stereo system and an MTX Thunder 204 4 channel amp.

Thumbs up

Anyone else have any input? I'm pretty much sold but it doesn't seem like many people have actually used them on there truck.

Ron, would you say they are worth the money? If you put them on yourself, do they use polyurethene bushings?

hey guys,
i've run bilsteins on several different trucks and have had great luck with them...they are a little firm, but my trucks have always felt much more capable with these shocks...my truck will be getting a set of these this summer, i always try to run the factory shocks around 30,000...good luck, Rich.

FamilyRide - they are definitely worth the money. I did not put them on myself. They come with rubber bushings and give you a great handling truck. A very high quality shock. In one year and 18,000 miles they still feel like they did the day I put them on.
