This probably is only good for those of us who do not regularly carry a heavy payload...but I did this mod tonight when I installed my shims and yes...this also made a HUGE difference for the better.

Go to www.eatonsprings.com and click the link "Improve the ride of your SUV" (yes this DOES apply to pick-ups too). Basically all you do is flip the lower leaf upside down so it is not putting pressure on the upper leafs. The article goes into it more than I will here.

My truck rides GREAT now, even after the all the lowering tweaks. I'd say that it is now finally dialed in, well the suspension anyway!

I'd say NOT to do this modification, unless you really do not want to carry anything in your truck and have some great shocks installed in the back.

After having driven a few days with the lower leaf flipped, it turned out to be more bad than good. Yes, the "comfort" of the ride was improved, but the overall driving quality suffered. This mod put "slop" into the rear end, actually dropped it the rear about an inch (didn't measure) and made the front end feel different. It was not worth it for me.

I turned them back over this weekend all is well (better) today!
