Question RCD LIFTS?

All you guys with the RCD 5" lift, what is the biggest size tires you could fit by cranking the torsion bars. I know 35X12.50 tires fit with just the lift but I want to know if you could fit 36X14.50 tires by cranking the T bars. More replies the better, Thanks

Cool

Hey Rhyno,

I don't understand even wanting to crank the torsion bars if your truck sits level without it. I'm sure the 36's would fit, but they will rub. 100% sure. My 315's rub when near full turn. They don't rub so bad, that I can't do a full turn though. If you want tall, stay fairly narrow.

My next (extra) set will be 37x12.50 SSR's, or the new Pro Comp 37x13.50 "Extreme Traction" (when available)

Question

Big D 98
How are you going to fit 37" tires when your 35" tires rub?

Rhyno,

I think they rub now because of width, not height. This would make the 37x12.50's be about the same as now. In fact, I think the SSR's are a little narrower then the tires I have now. The 37x13.50's would probably need some trimming. I haven't really seen what they are rubbing on. I will figure that out when I get time to cut my frame back, install chromed tow hooks, and trac bars.
