Post What should I do?

Ok, I have a '97 F-150 with a 2" fabtech kit on the front and 2.5" blocks in the rear. What I want to know is will I be able to fit 285/75R16's on it? Will these tires fit on my factory wheels (16x7) with the lift I have now? Would wheels with different back spacing make them stick out more (which is what I want)?

Also, what would be the best way to get a few more inches of lift? ie: Spindles, Upper A-Arms, body lift, ...

want:

I've seen 285/75/16 on a truck with a 3" spindle lift. There is quite a bit of room left between the tire and the fender I dont think 1" would make that much of a difference. Have you had any problems with wheel alignment on your truck with 2" level kit from fabtech.

no, after I put the kit on, it took me a while to find someone to align it, then a local 4x4 shop sent me to a heave duty alignment specalist, and since then everything has been fine.
oh yeah, will 285's fit on my factory wheels (16x7)?

They should fit on the truck without rubbing. You may or may not have to do a little shaving of the valance. I know a bunch of guys on the site have the 285's on their trucks without any lift at all.

Thanks guys, I think I will go with the 285's.

Does anyone have any thoughts for my 2nd question about getting a few more inches of lift?
