Post Straightening leaf springs

I have some 'axle hop' when I go over bumps and it seems to be mostly from the left rear side. My leaf springs on that side only are out of line, meaning, sort of twisted where the front ends are about two inches toward the drive shaft and the back ends are about two inches toward the wheel. Someone said I could loosen the u-bolts and straighten the leafs out myself. I just need to jack up the truck. Is it as easy as that? Any other suggestions?

I have the exact same problem with my truck. If anyone can give us a hand then please let us know. Im also considering a 3" lift so i want to know if i can adress this at the same time.

Yeah, it's pretty much as easy as that. You might want to get some new spring clamps to keep them in place once you straighten them though.

I had the same problem. My dealer just replaced both sets of springs about a month ago and now they look like the bottom ones are sliding out again. I tink I amgoing to get some spring clamps and fix it right this time.
