Post New shocks rubbing

I noticed today that one of my month old shocks is rubbing the paint off the bottom section where the top section fits down over it. The other shock does not do this.
This would seem to me that something is not quite right with the shock, like maybe the shaft is bent or something? Do you agree?

Cool

no first hand experience but I thought I'd al least add a reply.

I would agree. I wouldn't think they should rub. If it's just a small, barly touching thing probably not a big deal, but if it looks like it's scraping into it, I'd have it looked at/replaced.

Hope you get more replies.

Cool

1)Look to see if the outer section is smashed into a more oval shape than round. 2)Remove the shock and check it for smooth function off the vehicle (for bent rod)
