Post Spindles - 2" or 1 " block?

I was looking into getting a spindle lift for my truck and wasn't sure what size I needed to get for the back blocks. I see alot of people here with the 2" blocks, but at my shop they say I need a 1" block. I figure that will give me 6" in the front and 4" in the back. Thats the same size suspension lift that I was looking into originally getting. So wouldn't that be the same as the 3"spindles with a 1" block and a 3" body lift?

Mav-

I put the 3.5" spindles on with 2" blocks, and the front still sits slightly lower than the back. Off Road Unlimited recommended that I put a 1.5" block in the back, but I told them no...I should have trusted them!! I think a 1" or 1.5" is correct even though the Fabtech kit says 2".

This is simple, do you want the truck to be level or the rear to have a slight incline? Once you figure that out, you can choose the right size block. Good luck!

Question

DGreen, when did fabtech come out with 3.5 inch lift spindles for the Fords? The last I saw they only had 3 inchers. Also can you tell me the part number? thanks

I emailed and talked to a technician at Fabtech. Both replies indicated that the spindles are 3.5" NOT the 3" listed on their website. Maybe that's why they are recommending the 2" blocks in the back too.
