Post Another RCD Lift...

Here's my 4WD Supercrew w/ the 5" RCD Lift. Love the lift so far--better clearance and handling w/o compromising ride comfort. I am debating on whether or not to keep the 1-month old 16 x 8 Weld Typhhons w/ 305/70 16 GY ATS in place of 16.5 x 9.75 w/ 35 x 12.5 tires. Let me know what you all think...

I would go with the 35's. But I am very practical as well so if I can't sell them for a good price I would keep them and wear the tread down to the bone.

Do you still have the OEM radio/cassette player? If yes, can you explain the combination of the aftermarkets units you got to enhance the system? Where did you mount the subwoofer and amplifier?

By the way, nice ride. Enjoy it.

Question

Hyacinth,

How much would you be asking for your wheels and tires? Thanks.

Wink

Why sell the 16x8's? Just sell the tires and go with a 315/75 for your 16" rim. By the way great looking truck. Could you share some info on your lift with us, like how much was it out the door, how much did the installation cost (or did you do it yourself?) Thanks for any info you can provide...

JM,
I am using the stock deck and running an Audiolink high/low to the amp. The amp then "feeds" the speakers w/ regular RCA cables. I have the 10" sub and the amp under the 60/40 rear bench seat. I am very pleased w/ the additional bass and the overall sound, but am sure that it would
sound even better w/ a good aftermarket deck.

LoknLoad,
I bought the wheels and tires for almost 2K a month ago and am asking $1400 for it. If I can't get close to that, I probably would rather keep it.

Sdiesel,
I went to a local shop that RCD recommended. They matched National Wheel's price of $1459. I paid $500 for install, $125 for alignment, and $50 for shipping from RCD. All in all, approx $2300...

I was wondering if they make the RCD in a 6" suspension lift. Do you know anything about this? I am very interested in the RCD but where is there company located. My installer had not yet heard of this comapny but I had advised him there had been nothing but good reviews about RCD's lifts.........

RCD makes a 6" lift for Chevys but the F150 4WD lift is actually 5". They are based in Jamul, CA (San Diego County) and their # is 619-588-4723. If you search this board for "RCD", you'll find quite a bit of recent information on others who've gone w/ RCD and are happy w/ their decision. Personally, I really like the ride that the lift gives and it can partly be attributable to the Bilstein shocks. Hope this helps...
