Post edelbrock shocks

I was interested in buying a set of edelbrock shocks for my 2wd. I was wondering if anybody can tell me if they are worth the money and if they improve handling and ride the way that they calim to? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

I first installed the Edelbrocks on my 97 Explorer and loved them. When I traded up to my current vehicle, 2000 5.4L Expedition, I installed them after 4000 miles! Even though they are a bit pricey ($65-$70\each), to me they are well worth the investment. They greatly improve the ride and reduce the lateral roll.

I highly recommend them.

Ditto -

Everyone's budget is different, but in this case you just have to close your eyes to the cost and buy them.

No other shock gets close. Patented design, so they never will.

Made my truck handle even better that it did.

2wd Sport - the edlbrocks are nice shocks, but pricey like everyone has said. Do what I did: wait until carparts.com has another 1/3 coupon, then they're much more reasonable. I got my four, cost me slightly under 200 bucks.

Monroe REFLEX shocks get my vote.
I installed a set\and you would not know it is the same truck.
You can call Monroe engineering directly to qualify the difference in the valving characteristics with their Acceletation rate (impact) valving and compare the footblll curves to the edelbrock shocks

Question

Along the same lines, what about sway bar bushings? I think the teflon are <$50 but do they really help roll?

On the same subject, my 2000 Expy now has about 18k miles on it. When it's cold out, my front shocks make a lot of noise if I rock the front end. It just makes me wonder if it's worth it to replace with something like the Edlebrocks. After all, I know Edlebrock for intakes, not shocks!
