Bilsteins the ****zzzzz....

I just had my Bilsteins installed and I must say they are the most superior shocks I have ever had. I know that alot of people on this board brag about Rancho but I had the 9000s and I was not that impressed. I do have a Rancho 4inch lift kit and I love it BUT in my experience Bilsteins are way better for my expedition. No more body roll, tires fill like they are glued to the ground, no more nose dive when braking, just fills alot more controlled. I was very skeptical when I bought the Bilsteins but after doing alot of research I decided to go for it and i am glad I did. They are firm but not to stiff, and are just awsome. I was never able to get this type of response from my ranchos. Even at setting 5, and the 9 way adjustable, no thanks way to much time for me to **** around with dialing in my ride. The Bilsteins are also designed per the application, so mine only work for my suv. This is my own opinion and I honestly believe that Bilsteins are far superior why else would every shop I talked to recomend them? even the shops that didnt sell them said I could get them for you. Ok who have I pissed off now

Bilsteins, Rancho, and Edelbrock all make excellent shocks. It really is a personal choice, an individual choice as to the type of ride someone is looking for. Some like a stiff ride, some like a firm ride and some what their trucks to ride like a car.

Shocks are like oil, there will never be one that is better then another when they all do the same thing and perform their function well. Call 10 different shops and you will get some varying answers. Not all will recommend one brand of shock, at least not if they know their business well. They will want to know what the “customer” is looking for in their ride, until they know that they can not make a logical recommendation.

Which model did you get, the 5100's? I'm probably buying the 7100's this month unless I get my partial sponsorship through Bilstein
