4x4 lowering?
Well first off it is supposed to be high.
BUT some folks don't need the ground clearance ( like you ) so easy Fix would be to switch to smaller rims and tires ( such as the 255/70/16's that come on NON ORP 4x4.
But do a search on the site I believe someone else asked this a while back

acadianbob - Belltech makes a 4x4 lowering kit, someone on here installed it and it did look nice. Other than that, there is info on doing a free or cheaper drop. You can crank down the torsion bars to lower the front, there is a block in the rear that can be removed (do a search) or you could find a rear shackle kit, and then get an alignment done.
Smaller tires would lower the truck a little, but is that type of lowering you want?
I will be lowering my 4x4 when I get my new tires, so I will know how much to lower it by.
------------------
black 97' x-cab 4x4, 5 speed 4.6, black westin nerf bars, pilot ground searchers, borla SS split rear exhaust, K&N genII, bosch +4 plugs, flexalite electric fan, v-tech oval side window covers, IAS shocks
premier 720, pioneer 6cd changer, 12 premier sub, premier componets, 2 soso amps
still to come: new spark plug wires, new rims and tires, maybe a supercharger eventually.
