Question F-150 alignment after lowering

I am using Belltech 3" Drop springs in front and 4" shackles in rear with new shocks on 1997 F-150 Extended cab Stepside. Will I need to get the cam kit from Ford So it will align? Thanks Guys I will post pics when I get my truck back. Wrecked it on Christmas and getting new Frontend as we speak.

When I had my truck aligned I didnt need the cam kit, but after I got my new rims and tires I had it aligned again(thanks to a tip from the previous owner of the wheeles) and it did need the cam kit then. So if you get it aligned with the factory rims and tires you probably wont. If and when you get new rims and tires you probably will need the cam kit.

At least that is the way it worked for my truck.

kdgreen, I just completed the lowering on my 97 F150 with a Belltech 3"-4" and I did need the camber kit for alignment. I would just wait until you take it to the front end shop and let them determine and make the purchase. The kits are not that expensive...about $18 per wheel. Also, make sure you get the print out of the alignment specs after it is completed, this can be used for future use. Good luck.

kdgreen,
I just took off my 3/4 from belltech, I was very happy with it! Ford sets the top a-arm
with a shim so to adjust it you have to have a kit. I went with a 4/6. don't know if I'm happy? but it will be easier to go lower.
So put your kit in frist or the frontend shop will do it for you.

Do any of you guys have pictures of your trucks with a 3/4 belltech drop? I would be interested in seeing them. Email to:
kdgreen@bellsouth.net

Thanks!

Thumbs up

GANSO1,
Sorry the 3/4 kit was spoke for a month ago.
the 3in front springs will need a adjustment kit, but if you go with a 4in drop a-arms you won't need it.
the stock springs with the 4in a-arms is the better ride!
