Exclamation What the Heck??

Ok. So I'm all pumped up about getting my 3" body lift installed and my wheels and tires, right? I go to B&C Offroad in Pasadena and ask him how long it'll be. He said, call at about 6. So I wait for 8 horrible hours without my truck. I call in at 6 and ask, how it lookin? He says, Well we got the lift installed, but the tires and wheels didn't come in. And I'm thinkin, wait! I called in over a week ago to order those tires and wheels and you're telling me that they aren't in yet? He says something about the truck and mistaken wheel and tire size and tells me he'll have to keep it overnight. I'm obviously pissed, but what can I do right? So I ask him about how much it will end up being for the body lift installed ( I already had the kit) with 33x1250x16 ProComp Muds on Eagle 589 16x10 with mounting and alignment, etc. He says, about 1750. I was like, HOLD UP! I was quoted at 1575 for everything and he was jacking it up another $200? I don't think so. So he BS's with me for a few minutes and says, I can get it down to about 1650. I was furious by this time, and still am. I am currently without truck, being driven around by my girlfriend. Which isn't so bad except that I feel helpless. What the heck should I do about this?? All I can tell anyone is, don't go to B&C!

Sounds like a good price for everything, so I would have to take the 1650 deal and next time get everything in writing before you dropoff your truck...So what if you dont pay, no truck...That sucks..atleast if you had a quote on paper and you took your truck and paid only what was on the quote you could easily go and take your truck with no problems....Sorry but look at it this way....your truck is going to look really kick ***.........Dont forget to post pictures....Dave

Ok. So here's the update. I go in to check on everything. He says he won't be able to get the tires in until at least the 29th(Wheels already came in). He won't keep the truck till then, I wouldn't let him anyways, so I'm driving it around now with a 3" body lift, no lift lips/gap guards, on 255's! Can you believe this sh*t? So I figure, I'll give him a call on the 29th. If they don't have the tires in by then, I'm just going to 4WPW and going to get in on the tail end of their buy 3 get 1 free sale. It would be about 750 at B&C as opposed to 600 at 4WPW, so that would be the better deal anyways! The owner Kevin was a nice guy but just doesn't seem to have everything in order like it should be! I'll let ya know what happens.

P.S. On the drive home I noticed how much stiffer the ride is. It almost didn't feel like my truck. Next on the wishlist: Rancho 9000's!!

Cool

He started the lift job and he knew the wheels and tires weren't in? What if they didn't come for another week? How much would he knock off for the embarrassment of driving it with the little
wheels? Just hypothetical questions for you. I've also been told one price, and then charged another, many times. It's just something that happens every day,,,,,98

hey, just wanted to say that $1650 sounds like a good price, i spent almost $2000. anyway, thanks for the warning about B&C, i've been tempted to go there many times because of their advertisements. i drove my truck around for about a month with the stock tires, and i'm about to get a spindle lift next week, so i'll be back to needing bigger tires again. best of luck, i'm sure the finished product will be well worth the wait.

I didn't mean stiffer. I meant, just different. The higher center of gravity. It almost felt like it wanted to lift during turns. I drove it around a bunch yesterday and I've gotten used to it, but I can't wait for my tires to come in. I ordered them from 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers and got all 4 for $626. Saved about $150 from what B&C offered. They should be in in about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. It'll be hell till then!

Actually, you know what? It doesn't look as rediculous as I originally thought. When I bought the truck used, the previous owner had already upgraded the tires. So instead of the factory 235 or 245's I had 255's on there which is a little over 30 inches in diameter. So with the body lift on with those tires it doesn't look that horrible. I still can't wait for my tires to come in though! Also, B&C with all its problems, did an ok job on the lift and getting the wheels in time. I would have no complaints if the damn tires were there. Damn I can't wait until they come in!

Sorry about you problems. I got my Pro Comps from 4 Wheel parts for the same deal you did. I really like them but I had to drive around for 2-3 months with my spindle lift and stock 255s. I thought it looked kind of dumb but I got use to it. I really like the new 305s now.

Any chance we can get together so I can see your new setup? 98Screamer, J_Rock, you too.

No lift here, but it sounds like fun. Love the late model 150's,but really don't know anyone else who owns one. I'll be home in two weeks if you still want to get together,,,,98

Ok. Guess what now. I finally get the tires in from 4WPW. I bring the tires to B&C to get mounted on the wheels I ordered and come to find that he sold the wheels he was holding for me! Can you believe that? I called him and asked if I could bring them in to get mounted and he tells me he's packed full and can't do it. I stop by anyways, and he tells me that he lied and that he just sold my Rims to some other person. I'm sorry, but even if I hadn't paid for them yet, those were mine! He ordered them for me, not some other person. Anyways, now I have to wait till he gets in the next order. I'm just so pissed right now I don't know what to do!
