Ligtning sway bar on f-150?

Yep, My Dad has a '2000 F-150 Super Cab. He put the a '2000 Lightning Rear Sway bar on it and it fits and works great. He had to relocate the Rear Exhaust Hanger and the Axle Vent tube, but that is it.

Sounds like a great mod, iburch! Did your dad notice a handling improvement? Did he order the bar from the dealer, or from a speed shop?

My third F-series (ordered new). The other two: '73 F-100 Custom, 240 cube 6, 3 on the tree, tan, "West Coast" mirrors, step bumper, knitted vinyl seat, AM radio; and '98 F-150 SC short-box XL, XLS package, Pacific Green, 4.2 5-speed, 3.55 ls, FM-cassette.

HI!.... GEEKY666 : The LIGHTNING rear sway bar is nothing speical. It's the exact same sway bar used on the NAVIGATOR and the EXPEDITION. It's only 23mm in diameter (roughly 7/8's of an inch in diameter). SEEKER333 is right, that the HELLWIG is 1-1/8 of an inch in diameter. Both sway bars are solid. I have a HELLWIG on my truck and love the performace handling it gave me. I beleive the HELLWIG is cheaper to buy than the LIGHTNING's set-up. I got mine from SUMMIT RACING for $130.00(U.S). Hope this helps you out.
