Question freeway bounce

My 92 supercab shortbed 2WD w/ stock suspension is bouncing so much my back aches.I had the springs checked, bought the softest Monroes I could find. Are there any other shocks that are known for a supersoft ride, or even different leaf springs? Also, should I look into softer front torsion bars?

Do you have the towing package? If so you may be able to remove 1 spring(how many leaf springs do you have?). If you put alot of weight in the back or tow this may not be a good idea though.
What is your air pressure in your tires, and what kind?
I've had the same problem on all the California highways where the grooves are cut accross the lane.

I have the tow package, General tires with extended load range. I run the pressure as low as I can. I've thought of removing a leaf, but most shops tell me there's a risk of breaking a spring even if I don't haul anything. I'm thinking of the Edelbrock IAS shocks as a fix, but I really think I need a softer spring stack-up too.

Breaking a spring? I'll have to look under my dad's '95 1/2ton, on spring removal.
Have you gone to a spring shop, and told them what you want? Maybe the can custom build some springs for you that will make for a softer ride.
Unfortunatly it is a common problem with pickups and freeways.
